Use cases › Weekly WordPress article

Every week, a website article built from the Facebook posts

Internal project: an agent we build and run ourselves, every day.

In short. For one of our own internal projects, a Rilvo agent collects the posts from a Facebook page every week and prepares a draft article on the WordPress website, with a featured image taken from the posts. A person reviews it, approves it and publishes it.

The context

In our internal project, races, results and activities are shared every week on a Facebook page. The website, meanwhile, falls behind: picking up posts one by one and turning them into articles takes time that whoever handles communication often doesn’t have. Many SMEs, associations and local organisations have the same problem: social media is up to date, the website isn’t.

What the agent does, step by step

1

Starts on its own, every week

on the agreed day and time.

2

Collects the posts

published on the Facebook page that week.

3

Puts them in order and summarises them

bringing together races, results and news.

4

Writes a round-up article in Italian

with a clear title and structure, in the agreed tone.

5

Picks an image

from the posts and sets it as the featured image.

6

Saves the article as a WordPress draft.

It never publishes on its own.

How it runs

Channel

There’s no chat here. It’s an automatic job that runs every week; the draft appears among the WordPress draft posts.

Who approves what

Whoever runs the website reviews the draft, adjusts it if needed, and decides whether and when to publish it.

Who changes the rules

When something needs to change (tone, structure, what to include), the person responsible for the website updates the agent’s instructions.

Benefits

  • The website gets updated regularly, every week, without anyone having to remember.
  • No copying and pasting from social media to the website, images included.
  • A tidy archive of the season, easier to browse than a feed of posts.
  • Whoever handles communication keeps posting where they already post.
  • Whoever runs the site stays in control: the agent prepares the draft, a person decides.
  • The job belongs to the company, not to one person’s account: if the person handling communication changes, the weekly job stays.

FAQ

Does the agent publish on the website by itself?

No. It saves the article as a draft. A person reviews it and decides whether and when to publish it.

Does it work with Instagram or a non-WordPress website?

The pattern is the same, but the connection has to be built as a custom skill. We’ll discuss it together and give you a clear quote before we start.

Does it write the social media posts too?

No. In this example it starts from what you already publish and prepares the article for the website.

Can the frequency change?

Yes. Weekly is the frequency in this example; day, time and frequency are agreed with you.
