Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the Rilvo websites, including rilvo.net (together with the other Rilvo websites, such as rilvo.it, rilvo.ro and rilvo.eu, the “Sites”), for what purposes, and how you can manage your preferences. It supplements our Privacy Policy, available at https://rilvo.net/privacy-policy/.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device and reads again on later visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage or the loading of resources from third-party servers, make it possible to store or read information on your device or to transmit data (for example, your IP address) to third parties.

Cookies can be:

  • first-party, set directly by the Sites, or third-party, set by other parties (for example, Google);
  • session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until the stated expiry or until you delete them.

3. Types of cookies used on the Sites

Technical cookies. These are necessary for the Sites to work, for security, or to provide a service you have requested (for example, remembering your chosen language or your cookie choice). Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC and the national laws implementing it (in Romania, Article 4(5) of Law No. 506/2004; in Italy, Article 122 of the Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree No. 196/2003), they do not require your consent.

Analytics (statistics) cookies. These help us understand how the Sites are used (pages visited, referral source, browsing events). We use Google Analytics 4, which is not configured in a way that would allow it to be treated as a technical cookie; we therefore activate it only after you give your consent.

Profiling or marketing cookies. The Sites do not use profiling or advertising cookies and do not display advertising.

4. List of cookies and technologies used

_ga_6JCT89QEBW Google (Google Analytics 4) – third-party, set on the Sites’ domain Maintains the session state for the GA4 property G-6JCT89QEBW 2 years Analytics – only with consent

If you log in to the WordPress administration area (authorised staff only), additional technical authentication cookies are set (for example, wordpress_logged_in_*); these do not concern visitors.

Google Analytics 4 and Consent Mode

We use Google Analytics 4 through the Google Site Kit plugin with Google Consent Mode v2 in “basic” mode: for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, all storage purposes are set to “denied” by default, and the Google Analytics tag is blocked by the banner until you accept statistics cookies. Before consent, therefore, the tag is not loaded, no data is sent to Google Analytics and the _ga and _ga_6JCT89QEBW cookies are not set. Google Signals is disabled. Sharing data with Google to improve its products and services (the “Google products & services” option of the GA4 property) is also disabled.

In the GA4 property, event-level data is retained for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; the retention period for user-level data is reset with each new activity. Google Analytics data may also be processed by Google in the United States, on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.

External services linked from the Sites

The Sites contain links to external services, such as our Facebook page. These services do not set cookies on the Sites unless you open them; once opened, their own cookie policies and privacy notices apply (for Facebook, those of Meta).

5. How to manage your consent

On your first visit, a banner is displayed that allows you to:

  • accept all cookies;
  • reject all non-technical cookies, using a button as visible and prominent as the one for accepting (closing the banner with the “X” also keeps only technical cookies);
  • customise your choices for each category.

Until you make a choice, only technical cookies are used. Access to the Sites is not conditional on accepting cookies (no “cookie wall”).

Your choice is remembered and the banner will not be shown to you again for 6 months, unless the conditions of processing change significantly (for example, the use of new cookies or new providers) or it is not possible to know whether a preference cookie has already been stored (for example, if you have deleted your cookies).

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page of the Sites. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

6. Managing cookies through your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may prevent some parts of the Sites from working properly. Instructions for the most common browsers:

For Google Analytics, an opt-out browser add-on is also available: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Your rights

For information on recipients, transfers outside the EEA, retention periods and your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Romanian authority ANSPDCP or the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), please see our Privacy Policy (https://rilvo.net/privacy-policy/) or write to privacy@rilvo.net.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy, for example if the cookies or providers we use change. The updated version is always published on this page together with the date of the last update. In the event of significant changes, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
